First Holy Communion – Christ gives the Bread that is His Body and Blood to strengthen the life of grace within us.  Ordinarily, First Holy Communion takes place in the third grade and is combined with the celebration of Confirmation to complete the sacraments of Christian Initiation.  First Confession takes place prior to this sacrament.  Registered parishioners at the Cathedral must have been registered and active in the life of the Cathedral Parish for a minimum of six months prior to seeking enrollment in sacramental preparation programs.
