Saints Simon and Jude Cathedral Phoenix Arizona

Financial support of the Church is something that flows from our own self-understanding as Catholics. Supporting the works of the Church is, after all, a “Precept of the Church.” The Lord commanded the “tithe,” offering the “first fruits” or “ten percent” as a way of expressing our gratitude to Him, detaching ourselves from material preoccupations and relying more completely on the Lord, and providing for the needs of the whole community.

Your Cathedral depends entirely on the free-will offerings of the faithful to support operations… there’s no other way… there’s no government subsidies, no pipeline of funds from the Vatican…but if we put our trust in God, Who’s given us all we are and all we have, and everyone does their part… with a little creativity… your Cathedral thrives!
