A venerable custom in the life of the Church dating back beyond the Middle Ages is to remember the parish where we were baptized, or were married, or where we buried our parents, with a memorial gift. In remembrance of departed loved ones, one may wish to fund a designated project in memoriam, or contribute to a specific Cathedral need, or provide for the education of a Cathedral school student. This sort of gift is, of course, formally acknowledged as such a remembrance may be tax deductible.
